Peanut's First Playdate

Peanut had a friend come over today. They are 6 days apart in age (but I think Peanut has about 6 pounds on him). They sat on Peanut's playmat and shared toys and smiled t each other. They played nice until we heard a scream from his friend and looked over and Peanut had his friends foot in his mouth. We righted the situation and explained it was not nice to eat our friends and all was well again. I think he really liked having someone who stayed still, spoke his language and played near him.

It's good to have understanding friends. And forgiving ones. Especially when we accidentally eat each other's feet.

Yeah, I think the problem was that it wasn't so accidental. He took his friend by the foot, pulled him closer and then started chewing! It was hysterical and I decided maybe he needs a little more food for dinner! I think when we were little I treated you much better - I remember playing tweeble tag but no chewing on body parts :)

Papa Bear (and me)

My partner in crime and most gentle soul around. Papa Bear is all that is kind and considerate and puts his family’s needs before his own. As most Papa Bears, he does not multi task well but is working on it. He is dedicated to quality in all of his projects, little or small – especially where his yard and house are concerned. He is the creative, artistic one in the family who can draw chalk animals with life-like reality in just minutes and cut out dinosaurs and bugs free hand with one hand tied behind his back and blindfolded. He is the kid chasing, dirt digging, worm finding, ball throwing, world’s best Papa Bear.

Mama Bear

I am a mom of three young kids who thrives on teaching my children to love life. I tend to over organize and can’t exist without a schedule but my kids are breaking me of both of those habits. I can re-create any craft or meal I see, but am not usually creative enough to come up with them on my own so I have no shame in stealing all of my good ideas from other moms with experience. I am learning every day how to be a good mother and wife and have the best teachers in the world, my family.
